Resident Evil Veronica Passes Two Million Wishlists Ahead of 2027 Launch

Capcom says Resident Evil Veronica has passed two million wishlists across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Switch 2 well before its planned 2027 release. The project is a modern remake of Code: Veronica, a spin-off that developed a strong following even though it never carried a numbered entry in the series. Wishlists do not translate directly into guaranteed sales, but they provide publishers with an early measure of interest and can improve a game's visibility across digital storefronts. Core developers from the acclaimed Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remakes are leading the new version. Capcom has confirmed a third-person perspective throughout the experience and plans to adjust parts of the story so they fit more clearly within the broader modern Resident Evil narrative. The shorter title also drops the original game's “Code” label.
