Analyst Estimates a Slower-than-Expected PlayStation Start for Halo: Campaign Evolved
Halo: Campaign Evolved appears to have made a comparatively quiet start on PlayStation 5, according to estimates from analyst Rhys Elliott reported by GameSpot. Elliott puts July sales at about 351,000 copies and lifetime PS5 sales so far at roughly 452,000, with revenue nearing $28 million. Those figures are an analyst's estimates, not official sales data from Microsoft or Halo Studios. He also estimates around 212,000 Steam sales and approximately 900,000 sales across Xbox console and PC. Campaign Evolved is the first Halo release on a PlayStation platform and includes visual upgrades plus three prequel missions in the Operation Meteorite storyline. It does not include multiplayer. Elliott suggested that its $50 price for a revisited 2001 game may have limited interest. The data offers an early snapshot rather than a final verdict on the release.
