Sony Reveals Double State of Play Broadcasts Scheduled for This Week
Sony has officially revealed plans to host two back-to-back PlayStation State of Play digital showcases this week to highlight upcoming gaming software. The proceedings commence on September 3 with a primary broadcast centered on fresh progress updates from Sony's internal game development studios alongside global third-party publishing partners. This initial event is slated to finish with an extended gameplay preview of Final Fantasy VII: Revelation. Immediately following the first livestream, Sony will launch a secondary broadcast titled State of Play Japan, hosted by Yuki Kaji. This second session will offer deep dives, gameplay reveals, and major announcements specifically focusing on titles emerging from game development studios situated across Japan and Asia. To accommodate international viewers, English subtitles will be available throughout the Asian-focused event. Sony has not yet disclosed the exact duration for either broadcast.
