Activision Extends Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta and Activates Double XP

Activision has officially extended the open beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 by an additional 12 hours past its original closing time. To reward players making a final push through the progression ranks, the publisher has also activated Double XP for both general level progression and weapon leveling until the beta officially wraps up. This extension gives fans a much-needed window to reach the level 30 cap and unlock an exclusive weapon blueprint rewarded to top-tier beta participants. Once this trial period concludes, players will have to wait for the game's full release on October 23 to jump back into multiplayer. The title is scheduled to launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, marking the franchise's return to a Nintendo platform and its full departure from last-gen consoles for the first time since 2013.
